Our family has a new addition, Liam Marek. He was born Dec. 22, 2006. I am now out numbered at home by all the men… well 2 of them will be grown enough. Marq is now 10 and is known as Kuya Marq. Liam is healthy and doing well. He’s a lil piggy and is growing fast. The boys make it fun being a mom and Ben is all around trying to be both super dad and super husband. We have a new house and Liam’s nursery is slowly coming together. He has been busy working on the house. We are finishing the attic which Marq has claimed one room his. He is already showing the signs of becoming a teen. Not only wanting his privacy but is getting more and more expensive…lol. It was a great year for 2006 and can’t wait to see what 2007 has to offer our family. We have been very blessed and I hope everyone can also say the same.

As much as I have found this fun, it has so far become a very expensive and non-rewarding hobby for me. I started scrapbooking several years ago and got my sister’s into it as well. Shortly after trying it, work consumed my time and I now have Rubbermaid totes of "stuff." I went with Ron-Ron to a scrapbook convention this past weekend and wow I can’t believe how much things have changed. Tons of great ideas and more and more stuff to use and buy. And most of all, more expensive than a few years back. Most of my old scrapbook items I have let my son use for his own crafts, but now he wants in on this whole "craft-book." I was a sucker and bought him a scrapbook of his own and some odds and ends. He has made one before well over a year ago but it was strictly those Puch Out people and drawings, nothing else. So this last Sunday, I dug up my old stuff from storage and low & behold I found more stuff I forgot I even had. My son pretty much has a personal mini center in the dining room for his pleasure. Cutting board, stickers, card stock, papers, slick writers, photo corners, dots, punches, stamps and so on.
Back to mom this and mom that… Does this look good? How about this? Can I cut this up? When was this? Why did you take that picture?
I still love taking pictures of my family and friends. I always did and always will. I made a great investment in a Sony Digital Camera in 2004. Love it. So instead of a box full of negatives, I now have CDs and memory sticks of photos. (Which I do have lots of negatives from Guam Foto.) But in the end I’ll prolly still be a sucker for the whole scrapbook thing till my son moves on and back to Yu-Gi-Oh. Which bwt is another costly hobby, just not of my own will.
I’ll stick to Comics and Stamp collecting. The one thing I will not take out of storage till my son is a lil bit older….

10 things I remember my father would say or talk about…
1) Invest my 401k or stocks. (If you ever met him, you would know what I mean.)
2) The most important thing about an education is…
3) Whatever choices I make, should be for the good for both my son and myself.
4) Get him his Diet Coke.
5) Did you touch my computer?
6) How he met my mother.
7) Tell everyone of my sisters, including myself, that we were his favorite.
Take care of your brother.
9) Everything will be ok.
10) I love you.
Anyone who has met my father would know he can say so much more. Much much more…
He was a great professor, advisor, father, and husband. We lost him in 2002 and he will be missed everyday of my life.

I have to talk about my handsome son Marq as my 1st post. I can’t help it…. My baby boy turned 9 this month. We had a party for him the other weekend. "Fairly Odd Parent" Party in fact. We had a magician and pinata. Hot dogs, juice, and candy galore for the kids.
I have been blessed. He’s a great kid in so many ways. More helpful than any mom would want as well. He helps with the laundry, cooking, trash, and dishes. Now in 3rd grade, he is starting off well as a A student and the highest in the class. He loves to read and his crazy imagination gives him the funniest stories. He writes short stories for me to read and am starting a nice small collection of his works. He is my strength and has all my love. He is the sweetest Lil man and my one and only Badong.
